The Eagle and Child, Oxford
Here we are (well, there's Bob) after our bike trip to Blenheim Palace, with our first pitcher of Pimm's. The Eagle and Child is a famous pub, mostly because of who drank here.
Famous writer people.
Like J.R.R. Tolkien. And C..S. Lewis.
And now, another famous writer: A.C. Santoro.
That'd be me.
My friend Holly and I meet at Panera to write. Maybe we should try a British pub for inspiration.
The "back room" that Lewis and Tolkien met in would have been the area just this side of the brick wall shown here. The rest of the pub was a recent addition. I was interested in knowing exactly where they sat. I figured you would be too. You're welcome.
The cool, really cool, front door. Tolkien touched this.
